OPINIONS ON KT-34A BEAMS

     The performance of the KT34A (the half-boom version of the KT34XA) is
approximately like other similar trapped, tribanders of similar boom length
(16 feet).  It doesn't perform appreciably better than any other similar
antenna. I have a copy of an old comparison of tribanders that is about 10
years old but is food for thought.  Send me your postal address if you want a
copy of it.  

     The KT34XA, on the other hand, is a high-performance tribander, like the
TH7DX, and owns a couple of CQWW US records (W7WA on 15M and W0ZV on 10M).

     Take a look at the Force 12 C3 or C3S (shorter boom) if you want another
option.  The trapless design of the C3 increases efficiency.
