Okay, okay --
    You all passed my little test to see if anyone reads these posts.  I made
a rash statement about positive and negative charged electrons.  Obviously a
caffine deficiency in my diet.
    Anyway, what I meant was that the thunderclouds may have either a
positive or negative CHARGE and will be trying to reach equilibrium with
lightning strikes going either up or down in direction.  
    The flames were only slightly warm; tnx for your indulgence.
    On the other hand, I'm sure there's a research grant in there somewhere
to investigate positive electrons.  Wow, an anti-electron.  Maybe we can get
some use out of that abandoned particle accelerator in Texas.
