Hi Again Gang,

It's great that so very many of you realized my penchant for humor on this,
of course, very serious subject. While the humor needs no apology, I want
everyone to know that I feel all the posts about what needs to be done to
gain any measure of protection from this frightening and potentially deadly
whimsy of nature... to be not only serious but also very well meaning.

Things as potentially devastating as a lightning strike require our
unqualified respect and we do need to take all due precautions. I want to
applaud all the really serious guys for trying to knock some sense into us
before a bolt out of the blue knocks the sense (cents) outta us.

While it's easy to poke fun at others' insecurities...(including and
especially my own), I just want to set the record straight... that I never
for a moment disbelieved any of the well meaning efforts and measures
posted... and I hope no one ever uses CLING-FREE at home or at work for
lightning protection. (Legal disclaimer)

Because it's such a DUMB idea that I milk it for it's humor. Oops! There I
go apologizing for the humor and trying to explain it too. Shouldn't do
that. Humor is serious stuff and so is sensible lightning protection.
Please take heed of the many words to the wise.

Sincerely,

Roger, K2JAS (and don't forget to keep smilin' or lightnin'll strike you
silly... It already's got me!)
