Fellows, I'm installing this thing tomorrow. Happened to hit on it while
trying to feed an extended double zepp. Somehow, the gain looks too good.

Would appreciate any input from anyone who can model it. I used EZNEC.

Here are pertinent parts.

#12 copper--Resistivity=1.74E-08 ohms per meter, Relative permanence=1

Wires

Wire connections End 1 ( x,y,z)                   End 2 ( x,y,z

1.     0,-91.476,82                            W3E1 0,-.285,  82   SEGMENTS 14

2.W4E1 0,  .285, 82			            0, 91.476,82 	    14

3.W1E2 0, -.285, 82                            W5E1 0, -.285, 1             13

4.W2E1 0,  .285, 82                            W5E2 0,  .285, 1             13

5.W3E2 0,-.285,  1                             W4E2 0,  .285, 1             12

PLEASE NOTE THE 285 FIGURES HAVE A DECIMAL POINT IN FROM OF THEM!

Source  Wire segment 7, Wire 5,50% Ampl=1,Phase 0, Type SI ( split current )

No Loads
Ground type is Real, MININEC-type analysis
Conductivity= 1 S/m Dielectric Constant=13

Media

Medium=1, Conductivity=1, Height=0, R Coord=0

Note: fed at the middle of wire 5 with 1:1 balun, 50 ohm coax.

For those of you without modeling software, this sucker puts out about 12 dbi
with an SWR of almost 1:1. TO angle is 28 degrees ( I think--maybe be 23 )

Equivilent gain over a dipole at same height at 28 degrees is about +6 DB.

Would be very interested to hear what other software says...

Best,

Ed
