[TowerTalk] Speaking of S units

I'll have to admit that as of yet, I have not seen a definitive
empirical standard for an s units value BUT, to back up Rod's
statements, I offer this quote from an owners manual to a Hallicrafters
SX-117 Receiver Circa 1962.

(pg.11 pp 5-5)
"The S-Meter is calibrated in S-Units to 9 and in decibels to 70db over
S-9.

S9 represents a 50-microvolt signal at the antenna input. Each S-unit
represents approximately 6 DB change in signal strength."
