[TowerTalk] Measured S-meter db/S-unit TS-450

Guys,

If you want to know what your S-meter really reads build the attenuator
in the ARRL handbook and inject a fixed signal.  I did this when my quad
was showing much too much F/B and gain.

This table is for a TS-450 on 20m and slightly ambiguous due to the #$@
leds instead of a real meter.

6                       20
7                       22

9                       29
9+10                    36
9+20                    46
9+30                    64

As you can see, it is anything but 6 db per S-unit.   Over some of the
range is is 3db/S-unit.  I don't have a calibrated voltage source so I
can't say how many mv S9 equals.

With this info, the quad appears much closer to theory.
