[TowerTalk] FIBERGLASS TAPE vs. "NORMAL" TAPE

How much ambient moisture will be sealed INTO the traps, connectors etc.,
when such a scheme is implemented?  In talking to another ham about using
a similar plan, he asked me that question.  In his experience, he said
the antennas in the best condition after a long time in the air seemed to
be the ones which allowed adequate draining and evaporating.  Now, if one
could evacuate all moisture and then seal it, it might be different.  But
not many of us can do that.
