Just spoke with John Hale, the President of Telex,Corp.
 and he got a good laugh out of your statement.

Telex never made antennas, only their Hy-Gain division does.
Telex also owns RTS which makes intercoms, but we both
figured out that it must be -->Telrex <-- not Telex you're thinking
of.

John is not a ham, but the presidents of both the Hy-Gain and
RTS divisions are.
