40M Beam and Mast

John,
My opinion is that the mast will survive 100mph, but the KLM will likely
fail way before that.  The KLM 40 element is infamous for numerous
mechanical failures, any one of which will put you off the air.

I suggest building a tilting-type mast mount for it, so that you can climb
the mast on steps and tilt the beam, for doing certain maintenance.
