Orion 2300

I understand from recent discussion that the OR2800 is great.  I have 
just been offered an OR2300, used.  I want to turn an 80 m beam with 
it.  Some questions:

1.  How does it compare mechanically with the '2800?  Ratings?  
    Mounting hardware?  Mast clamp?

2.  Are there any control box quirks that I should know of?  Is it 
    compatible with the '2800 and '2800P boxes?

3.  What was the list price on the '2300?
