All good ideas, but remember there is a definite relationship to DE diameter, Gamma diameter,
spacing between the 2, ect.

I have found you can use plastic tubing ( the clear stuff you can buy from Home Depot ) and
push the gamma rod into it...it is a tight fit if you choose the right sizes...I generally
use 1/4" or 3/8" on 20 up, and 5/8s to 3/4" for 40 up....
