[TowerTalk] SB-220 as antenna tuner (part 2)

Thanks to everyone who responded.  As many suggested, I tried substituting
first a barrel connector, then a short piece of coax, for the SB-220.  With
the SB-220 in line, minimum SWR (abt 1.1:1) occurs at 14.400; with the coax
instead, it occurs at about 14.200.  Something's going on inside that green
box, and I don't think there's any alternative to going in...   report of
any discoveries later.
