     A nifty addition to any antenna/rotator system, the shock absorbing
properties of the rubber dampener in theory will allow a rotator to take up
to 25% more load.  The theory being that the rubber isolator will take some
of the wind torque forces off of the rotator.

     Dave Leeson, W6NL/ex-W6QHS, features a BMW drive cushion in his book
"Physical Design of Yagi Antennas". Unfortunately the KLM/M2 product didn't
perform as reliably as everyone hoped and the product has been discontinued.
 

     For your KT34XA/402CD load, the Orion 2800 has plenty of strength and
capacity -- you don't need any additional devices in your system that might
fail.
