There is an excellent article on the subject in QST for Dec 95, in the Hints
and Kinks section. Title: DON'T SOLDER TO CONNECTOR ADAPTORS. Most of the
article concerns small diameter cables with adaptors, but a section toward
the end also addresses cable of the RG 8/213 variety. Interesting
information from one who is in the business of making high reliability cables.
