[TowerTalk] T2X ,SS and Murphy

Wouldn't you know it. This weekend is Phone SS. The only Contest I have a half
assed chance of doing well in from up in this frozen prairie and I've got a
busted T2X.  After 7 years in the frozen black hole, turning a KT34XA with
Shorty forty on top managed to shake loose all nuts from the Bell housing
bolts.  !!!!!( Hmm, thought it was a little sluggish)   VE4 land is not a
rotator favorite.  Duct taped the thing together and brought it down. Pinion
broken on main gear, othewise fine. Take new T2X up tower. Try to secure. New
Hygain quick disconnect/pigtail has waterproof connector. Connector will not
fit in rotator plate cut-out in tower. Secure beam. Curse. Shake head. (Its 15
degrees on the tower). Go in to warm up. Phone Hygain, send terminal strip.
Rewire rotator like old T2X.
Now if I just can get a "warm" day and a little less wind.............Well, at
least I'm pointed SE.  Gonna be hard to work Jay this way ............aw, those
guys in KP2 ALWAYS have the edge in SS anyway. Its just that I hate it so much
when they sit there in their Bermuda shorts, laughing.
