[TowerTalk] Toroids

Hi all.
I came into a bunch of toroids (cheap), and I have no idea what they are. 
 They are in two pieces, and each piece looks like a capital "E".  They 
go together and there is a U bolt that holds them together.  Does anyone 
have any idea where these came from? Thanks
