Gang,

I just invested in my antenna systems. No, I didn't buy a tower or beam,
but I greatly improved my antenna situation.

Being in a covenant restricted neighborhood, the numerous trees on my lot
have become towers for all my antennas. Now that I've had a couple of years
here to find out what works and what doesn't, I can now "fine tune" my
antenna systems and the "towers".

With the full support of my XYL, I brought some professional tree trimmers in
to "beautify" the yard. Actually, they cleared out all the branches around
my wires, helped me reroute some feedlines, and generally helped "clean up"
my whole antenna layout. I no longer have to worry about branches catching
and breaking my antenna wires, nor do I have to worry about starting forest
fires during contests. The tree trimmers didn't charge extra, in fact, they
were rather intrigued with the whole situation.

I've heard several folks complaining about how trees get in the way of their
antenna designs. Talk to your friendly tree trimmer. You can make the XYL
happy with bona fide landscaping improvements, while removing those nasty
trees and branches that limit your antenna options.

I'm happy, wife is happy! Try it!
