Doyle, first off, the RCS-4 does not use control cable, only the RCS-8.  I
have the
RCS-8 and I am 300 ft from my tower. I bought 1808 cable which has 2- #16
wires and
6- #18 wires and it works great.  No problems at all. Good luck and
