I find the best method is to use steel wool and the No-Al-Ox or whatever
and rub it into the surface of the aluminum. That way you are
cutting through Aluminum Oxide with both the wool and the Zinc 
particles in the compound. After all the " Anti- Oxidant " real purpose
is to provide continued continuity between the joined Aluminum parts
rather than stopping oxide forming although the base barrier liquid
does of course help. By the way i saw mentioned Copper based 
anti-oxidants don't use anything with Copper in it with Aluminum tube,
they don't like mixing. Regards Clive GM3POI
