Aloha,

This comparison is very easy to do; just go to:

	http://www.boulder.nist.gov/timefreq/javaclck.htm

And the display, after a moment or so, will compare your computer
clock to the NIST Java web clock. It is just the minutes and seconds part
that is useful, as for some reason, as the site points out, the Java
clock uses an older code, and the hour may or may not read
correctly because of newer code in your PC.

After setting my clock with About Time, the two tick in perfect sync!
I also have a Heath Most Accurate Clock here in the shack, and as I am
only about 15 miles East of WWVH here on Kauai, I get pretty accurate
readings, to within 5 msec or so on the Heath clock. Agreement is
exact among the three clocks. I am very pleased. I only wish Heath
were still in business, as try as I do, I cannot get the "program"
Heath provides in the manual for the Accurate clock to read the
time in to and set my computer clock via the RS232 regime; very
pleased to now have a way, ping corrected, via the web.
20 to 50 msec is certainly accurate enough for me. Anyway, my
logging programs all ignore the seconds anyway, hi!
