Actually, a couple of years ago there was an extensive thread on this.  If
my memory is good, the bottom line is that the Loos is calibrated for wire
rope but that the deviation is minimum for EHS, and even for Phillystran
(to my surprise).

I suspect it's a lot more important just to be in the right ballpark with
the preload, and little point in trying to get it accurate within better
than 10-20 percent.  In my own experience it's a lot more important to
ensure that the gauge moves absolutely freely relative to the hook where
the guy goes through -- just a tiny bit of friction between the gauge body
and the guy wire can throw the results way off.
