There really are, and have been, very professional PE's on this list, and
they frequently do come forth with help. The ones I have seen come here, do
not wave big "PE!" flags, but they do have the real help needed, short of
coming across country to hold our hands, in person. We owe these know
legible PE's a lot.

My somewhat disparaging remarks re:PE's, in an earlier post, were not
directed at those who really DO know towers, etc, but at the common PE that
is the type available to most of us, in the hinterlands. I had one of
those as a neighbor, who tried to survey his 75 acres with a hand compass
and a 100' tape. He never did resolve his 50' disagreement with his other
neighbor, a big timber company.
