Hi Ernesto, Using Belden as a reference for RG8, the loss data for their #
8237 and 9251 (uses a non-contam PVC IIA jkt) are the same, as follows. Their
8214 is slightly lower loss at 700 mHz and above due to its foam dielectric
contributing to a higher veloc. prop. factor (78% vs. 66% for the polyeth.
dielec.). As far as "cellflex" cable goes, their is a Cellflex Co. but in
general the cellular foam cables such as 7/8" Heliax and Cablewave run very
close in the rated losses: dB/100 ft @ MHz:
Freq:.........50.......200.....400.....900....................................
..................................
RG8:.........1.3.......2.7......4.1......7.6..................................
...................................7/8":.............28.......62........78...1
.24.......(below approx 600 mHz is < 1 dB)............
If you would like other freq's, let me know. In about three weeks we will
have a thorough loss chart at our site: www.davisRF.com regards, Steve
