Let me know what you find. On my 72' tubular, I tried LMR400UF for the low
loss, but it was way too stiff to properly coil up as the tower was lowered.
I had a lot of problems keeping it from wandering all over the place and
getting tangled or snagged on something. The jacket is kinda sticky, too, so
it doesn't slide over metal well. I suspect that any solid conductor coax is
going to present problems eventually. I ended up with RG/213 -- it has the
proper flexibility. The loss in 80 ft of it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't
have 260 feet of LMR400UF connecting the tower to the shack! I'd sure like
to find equivalent flexibility with less loss.
