Well, on the subject of lightning rods, A G7 2 meter antenna is the
best I've ever seen. That sucker attracts lightning. Just feed it with
hardline, strap it to the tower, and forget about it...

I've had 3 or 4 blown completely and no damage. ( well, the G7 was
an exception )
