This afternoon, after work, I sat down and finished the radials
for the 12AVQ I planted in the backyard Friday. I made up four
sets of three radials (one for each band) each. I spread them in
an even and consistent pattern down and around the antenna. At
the suggestion of one of the responder's to my first message on
this subject, I used bobby pins to tack down the wire into the
newly cut short grass. That worked well.

I came inside a while ago, turned on the radio, and checked out
the SWR on each band. Where the SWR was less than 1.5:1 on the
three bands, it is now less than 1.2:1 in the CW portion of each
band. I almost thought something was wrong with the SWR meter
(Daiwa CN-101L), but that's was it was reading. The receiver
also seemed to be more lively, signals louder, and noise level
lower.

Thanks to all for the responses to my previous message on this
subject.

now....back to work on the two-radio-six antenna control box....
