Hi Mike,

	When you mention about putting concrete under a guyed tower, I
believe the purpose of it is not to prevent sinking as much as it is to
prevent the tower base from kicking out sideways from the downward and
lateral forces applied by the guy wires when the wind is blowing.  Thus
it becomes important as to how deep the hole is, as well as how much
concrete is there.
