if memory serves, one of the Saarinen architects was behind
Cor-Ten....forget if it was the father or the son....believe they
discovered it as being used by the power companies for the high tension
line towers...but that was from ways back in the gray
cells....architectural history 101 or somesuch....

but that was a long time ago....
