[TowerTalk] Tower Laws in New Hampshire?

This past week I have researched the tower restrictions in two towns in
New Hampshire.

In Auburn NH (just east of Manchester) the Town Building Inspector said
that if the tower was 35' or shorter then no build permit or inspection was
needed. A tower taller than 35' would need to have a permit and the initial
request would be denied. I would then have to appeal and that would give
him time to look into the whole matter. In reading over his shoulder I
could
see why he wanted more time to review the ruling. Two adjacent paragraphs
seemed to be contradicting each other. A few years ago there was a town
vote to restrict the cell towers that were popping up and there was specific
language added to exempt towers used exclusively for ham radio use from
the more restrictive law. I did not see an exclusion in the book that the
Building Inspector was reading. As I only have a 30' of Rohn 25 this is not
an issue for me.

In Bristol NH on Newfound Lake, the Town Building Inspector said that there
were no need to apply for a building permit for a ham radio tower.

It would seem to me that the best plan of action for me is to get something
in the air sooner than later.
