David Thompson is correct, Sam ,W1BU, had the strongest signal from the U.S.A.
into Europe.  My call was DL4NV and I worked him many times.  He had no equal.

We should not forget that his great dipole had an additional 6db from fresnel
zone reflection as all horizontal antennas do.
