     I haven't talked to the factory (I will) but I suspect that it comes
through just fine. There's nothing to conduct the strike and no voltage
potential differences so it should come through unscathed.

     Phillystran has been manufactured since 1973 and some of the original guy
wires are still in use in Florida - the US lightning capital.
