I have an retired Hygain 402BA (2ele40m) on the ground that needs
the linear loading wires/insulators and element tips replaced. As
an alternative to rebuilding it for 40-meters, I have been thinking
about converting to 30-meters. Perhaps using it on the side of a
tower fixed, facing towards Europe. Has anyone out there converted
one of these to a full-sized 2ele30m yagi? I'd like to hear the
results of your efforts, especially the beta matching.......
