Hi,
I have a tower 77 feet high and a Hy-gain TH7 on it. I have =
mounted a KLM 6 elements for 10 meters under the th7. Between the two =
antennas there are about 10 feet.=20
I have two problems:=20
=20
Now I have these questions :
=20
1) The lowest SWR that I have on the KLM is 1.5.I have lowered and =
checked the antenna several times but the SWR is still high. I have =
tried with 18 feet between the two antennas but SWR is always the same
2) On the air (on 10 meters) there is not difference between the klm =
and the TH7. Is the TH7 that work very well on 10 meters or the KLM does =
not work well ?
=20
I don't know what to do and the cqww contest is near !!
=20
Thank you

There is going to be interaction between the two 10 meter beams. =
There are two ways to overcome this interaction. You can move the 10 =
meter KLM down below by more than 25 or 30 feet. Many of us do this =
with the antenna fixed on a direction. Or you can try to phase the KLM =
with the TH7. The KLM would be 1/2 to 1 wavelength away and properly =
phased.
=20
Even with the beams 30 feet distance and not phased there is going =
to be some interaction to both the pattern and SWR.
=20
The TH7 is a good performer on 10 so perhaps a 40 meter beam or WARC =
beam might be a other alternatives.
