Some people have asked how to get Towertalk in digest form. Following is
an explanation from the FAQ for one of the other reflectors -- it works the
same way for towertalk. Note that I have replaced one letter in
"subscrib*" with an "*", in order to prevent the message from being bounced
by the system -- should you wish to subscrib* to the digest, you'll need to
replace the "*" with "e" in the actual commands. Messages with "subscrib*"
in their text are automatically bounced so that all umpty-hundred
subscribers aren't sent a message every time someone forgets that commands
should go to towertalk-request. You'd be amazed how often that happens!
Inastructions:
The Towertalk messages are also distributed in digest form. This means that
all messages posted to Towertalk on a given day will be bundled together
and resent as a single message, nominally at 11:45 p.m. EST. This is useful
for people with Internet providers that place a limit on the number of
messages you can have in your mailbox at once.
To subscrib* to the digest, send a message to
Towertalk-digest-REQUEST@CONTESTING.COM and write the word SUBSCRIB*in the
body of the message.
To unsubscrib* from the digest, send a message to
Towertalk-digest-REQUEST@CONTESTING.COM and write the word UNSUBSCRIB*in
the body of the message.
If you are subscrib*d to the digest, you will still be able to post
messages to Towertalk. You do not need to be subscrib*d to Towertalk.
