[TowerTalk] End Fed 1\2 Wave HF Vertical Questions

If I remember right the half wave verticle is supposed to be a fairly
decent antenna. The only thing is a matching network is needed as the
feedpoint impedance is in the neighborhood of 2000 to 3000 ohms.
Or am I thinking something else?
Anyone?
