Well, I might agree with you if it was the case that kept breaking
down. Are we spending all that money to keep the inside from
water/freezing damage?

Further, obviously never been in parts of the country some years back
where the Maytag was always on the front porch out in the weather
(along with the Frigidaire & other stuff) and still lasted 20 years.
Being outside not the real problem.

Ask yourself why prop-pitches stand up so well...  Anyone have any
idea what those motors cost new, and what the price would be
translated to 1999 dollars?
