Hi Brian,

I find it hard to believe that the caps in your R7 matching unit broke off.
Usually the rattling is the toroid which can break apart from too much
power on the lower bands, especially if used on 80 Meters which is out of
spec. range!

Anyhow, when I designed the R7 matching box in 1991, I had been using 82
pfd (if my memory serves me right) at 6 KV on the R5 but it was too much
capacitance for the R7 so I put two of them in series.
