[TowerTalk] R-7 Toriod Help

Does anyone know the vaulues for tthe toroids in the balun box of the R-7?  
Does anyone know why they might disintergrate?  I picked up my R-7 to 
assemble at the field day sitte and I heard gravel in the box!!!  Cush Craft 
want $165 for a new one!!!!! Like my fellow hams I'm cheap........uh, um, 
frugal.
