[TowerTalk] Boom caps. Are they needed?

For whatever it's worth, both my Force 12 yagis have capless boom ends, and
I've never heard them sing.  Wind blows pretty strongly here, too.  No sign
of critters so far either, but that may just be luck, because we have lots
of mud daubers and bees around here.
