First Prize goes to Joe K5KT for figuring out what was wrong just after I
did....
The darn calibration pot was engaged, and I completely forgot that it could
already be turned on! !@#$$$$@!! 
That was a boner on my part, the box now works great! Will keep the fuse
problem in the back of my mind tho!
