Thanks all for the great input on the TIC product.  Gear alignment, motor
alignment, and pre-assembly on the ground were the key messages.  Also,
suggesting the older EC-1 controller (analog) over the newer EC-2 (digital)
given the array of difficulties others have experienced with the digital control
box.

Have made a more conventional side mount system with angle iron, Rohn 25 pointed
top section (cut in half) and mounted along side Rohn 45 to swing a 6 element
yagi on 15 and a 4 element yagi on 20 with no problems.  The Rohn 25 top section
was previously damaged by ice (leg split) while on the ground! This was cut in
half so that the rotor shelf and pointed top portion was located at the bottom
of the tower to house a G800 Rotor and the "shortened" straight section was
mounted at the top of the side mount mast with a thrust bearing to support the
40 ft. of mast and the multiple beams.  Works very reliably!
