Gang,
I relocated several months ago, and in the process, disassembled and moved
my tower, a Rohn HDBX-48. All hardware is in good shape and I was preparing
to begin foundation work, when I discovered that Rohn wants $75 each for a
1" by 30" galvanized steel anchor bolt. Two hundred twenty-five dollars
plus shipping for three bolts seems a bit excessive.
I hope to find replacements locally (Orange, TX) but need to know how many
inches are threaded on each end of the bolt. Two calls to Rohn engineering
have been fruitless; the folks answering the phone are pleasant enough, but
refer me to the manufacturing plant in Frankfort, IN. The Frankfort people
simply refer me to their distributors and will not give out the information!
I'm not sure if the rest of you have dealt with them recently, but they're
not nearly as accommodating as they once were.
I have the tilt-over galvanized base stubs, brackets, etc. Does anyone have
any suggestions or have an anchor bolt they can measure for me?
Thanks in advance.
