I used the same grounding kit with two runs of LMR400.  Be careful to not
over tighten the clamp that secures the grounding strap to the coax.  With
very little effort you can compress the dielectric to the point where you
no
longer have a good 50 ohm impedance match.  I had to redue the first clamp
and then opted not to use them on the second run of LMR400 and instead used
PL259's and barrel connector.  I secured the barrel connectors (my tower is
55 feet so I grounded the coax just bellow the antenna and at the base of
the tower) to the mast of the antenna with stainless steel hose clamps.
The
second approach is less costly than the grounding kits and is just as easy
to water proof with tape and that formable coax seal.

Since this approach removes the compression problem and is less expensive,
is there any concern about doing it this way?
