Measured Attenuation for 100m (about 300 ft) of new cable.

	   1.8 3.5 7.0 14.0 21.0 28.5 51.0 145 435

LDF5-50A .10 .20 .25 .40 .50 .60 .85 1.30 2.50
LDF4-50A .20 .40 .50 .75 .90 1.00 1.45 2.50 4.25
RG-213M17 .80 1.20 1.50 2.35 3.35 3.60 4.90 8.70 15.80

Althought claimed by someone, RG213 foam (or air)clones do not have
much less attenuation than a standard RG213 below 30 Mhz.
This happens because dielectric losses are not yet a real matter.
A number of cables, claimed as RG 213, are not really compliant.
It’s worth and didactical to check attenuation of long run coax cables
expecially when old or used.
All what’s needed is a transmitter, a wattmeter and a dummy load.
