If we cut power levels in the m.f., h.f., ionospherically propagated
range, by 10 db, across the board, applying to everyone, it would mean
less dx worked by everyone, but not nearly as much less as one might
expect. The qrp'ers know this. And there are qrp'ers above the 300
country mark, have been for years.
Within the past 5 years, i've casually and easily worked over 100
countries on 30 meters with 4 watts output, and over 50 with 1 watt. In
both instances the time period of each event was a year, and half of that
time i was inactive. Power is no substitute for skill-the qrp'ers creed.
It would be nice if more hams took the opportunity to experiment and
