       I guess my questions are what are you going to put up there and why do 
you need such a brute mast? Santa Clara county is only a 70 MPH windspeed 
zone so no big deal wind-wise. An SAE 1027 DOM has about 65kpsi yield 
strength which isn't too expensive and will probably hold just about anything 
you care to put up short of a full-sized 40M beam.

      Ouch - that's a HUGE lever arm from that much mast sticking out and 
that little mast in the tower. What kind of rotator are you going to use to 
hold it?

      I have a mast calculator program available from Champion Radio Products 
- the Mast, Antenna and Rotator Calculator (MARC Program). You can use it to 
play different mast scenarios.
