Hi Sylvan...the manual says for 125 feet use #18 for terminals 1 & 2 and # 
22 for  #3 through # 8...that is the minimum length they discuss in the 
manual..the next segments are 200, 300,500 and 800 feet 
respectively....Note the voltage to the motor is 24 volts, 26 volts at the 
transformer, AC....not DC.
