I believe the proper way to do this is to mount 2 pieces of angle iron
several feet apart across two legs of the tower. Then using u bolts mount a
2" mast to the 2 pieces of angle iron and mount the C3 on the mast.
I have never done this but this is what I have learned looking at the side
mount or swing gate mounts on the web. It is basically the same but without
the rotor mount plate.
