[TowerTalk] Tri-Ex MW65

Today, with help, I was able to collapse my MW65 tower and remove it from
the base. The 4 sections look
good and need to be cleaned up and painted. The hardware, cables and
pulley's, bolts, nuts need to be
replaced.

A guide on the top of the 1st section was purturbated somewhat. The guide
was slanted slightly so that it
prevented the 2nd section from sliding down. Trying to use brute force to
straighten it was to no avail. Cold
roll steel is difficult to move. This caused me to use a come-along to get
it collapsed.

Will heating this guide with a torch and making it align again make problems
and soften the steel, or worse make
it too brittle? Are there parts for this tower still available?

Looking for advice from tower guru's

Thanks,
