Hi Jack,
In your efforts to build a super all band antenna,
remember that NO SINGLE ANTENNA will cover
ALL the angles supported by the ionosphere.
You need HIGH and LOW antennas to fill in the
pattern nulls inherent with horizontal polarization.
During the day, I find my 40 ft high TH7 is always
best to Africa and often best to Europe during
mid day on ALL 3 of the high bands when compared
to bigger and better monobanders at 55 to 80 ft.
The difference between a BIG and small antenna
is usually only 2 or 3 dB. The difference between
an pattern null and pattern peak can be 20 or 30 dB.
